1.2 Who is it for?
IOLResearch is designed for teams conducting investigator-initiated and academic ophthalmic research involving simultaneous-vision optical solutions.
It supports the collection, organization, exploration, descriptive analysis, visualization, and export of research observations and measurements across protocol-defined study visits.
It is intended for:
Researchers and investigators conducting ophthalmic studies involving presbyopia, cataract, and simultaneous-vision optical solutions.
Academic institutions, clinics, and hospitals participating in research studies, collecting research observations and measurements according to predefined study protocols.
Research teams and study personnel organizing longitudinal research data, exploring study outcomes, and preparing data for further scientific analysis and publication.
Typical users include ophthalmologists, optometrists, researchers, study coordinators, and technicians involved in research-data collection across predefined study visits, including baseline, postoperative, and scheduled follow-up visits.
IOLResearch is intended for research use only. It is not intended for diagnosis, screening, prevention, prediction, prognosis, treatment, patient monitoring, treatment selection, or any other individual medical decision-making.
Regulatory-use notice
IOLResearch has not been specifically qualified or validated by Qvision Academy for use as a regulatory clinical-trial system or for generating clinical evidence intended to support regulatory submissions or conformity assessment.
Use in industry-sponsored regulatory clinical investigations, including studies intended to support submissions to regulatory authorities or conformity assessment under medical-device regulations, is outside the currently assessed intended purpose of IOLResearch and would require a separate assessment by the study sponsor and, where applicable, additional validation and regulatory controls.
